General Meeting - June 25th

We will have Whitney Neal, the Director of Grassroots at FreedomWorks, on hand to deliver a POWERFUL presentation on Common Core - the BIG government take over of public education. This is a HUGE threat to our students and parents. Common Core rewards mediocrity, cuts down on science, collects hoards of personal information, and is supported by special interests. This presentation will explain why it must be opposed at all costs! We'll have takeaways for parents, students and concerned citizens who are ready to fight back against this massive government education grab.

About Whitney

Ms. Neal is the Director of Grassroots at  FreedomWorks. She came to DC in 2012 from Flower Mound, Texas (near Dallas) where she spent the last five years as an eighth grade United States history teacher and working to elect fiscally conservative candidates, most recently Ted Cruz.

Whitney holds a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations and a Master's Degree in Public Policy and Administration with an emphasis in Education Policy. When she's not busy working with grassroots activists at FreedomWorks, you can find her hanging out with family, shoe shopping, reading the classics, or cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners, New York Giants, Dallas Stars, Texas Rangers, and San Antonio Spurs.

Who should attend?
Taxpayers - do you want your tax money going to support "average", one-size fits all education?  Do you want a federally controlled behemoth totally unaccountable to local communities?  Keep education local!

School Board Members - are you willing to let the Federal government utilize the State to strip your local control?  Is this what you were elected to do?  Retain local control!

Parents - defend your children's right to privacy and ensure that they have a quality education, not an average one.

Students - protect your rights and privacy!  You deserve more than an average education!

Please invite everyone you know!  There is not a single person that will not be affected by these new standards.
